It happens.
Your home gets belted with ping-pong ball sized hail for twenty minutes, your garage door is mangled, you could make a margarita with just the ice on your front step (not that you would, I mean, it’s two o’clock on a Tuesday) your car looks like someone handed a toddler a hammer and told them to have fun, and you don’t even want to look at the siding.
Obviously, this is what you pay your premiums for, right?
So the adjuster comes out, pokes around a little bit and then tells you…….nope, didn’t damage the roof.
But, but, but…..the garage door? the car? the siding?
Oh, well yeah, those are totaled. Look at those holes and those dents. But the roof miraculously escaped and that’s that.
Maybe you should have made the margarita. Ugh.
Here’s the thing: It’s not a conspiracy. Your insurance company isn’t trying to pull the wool over your eyes, or get out of paying for something (most of the time) But here’s the other thing: Adjusters are human. They make mistakes, they take shortcuts, they have schedules that get a little tight. Roof damage from hail isn’t always the easiest thing to spot and sometimes it looks like other stuff. It’s sneaky, and it’s not like the damage to your car or siding or garage door, right at eye level and easily visible to you.
That’s where we come in.
You don’t have to take their word for it. You don’t have to wonder if your roof is going to suffer from a premature failure down the road from the pounding it just took. As a policy holder you have the right to have a third party inspection completed by a qualified professional. This should include a full walk around (and over) of the entire structure, pictures of all damage noted, and a comprehensive written report. Our Lincoln roofing experts are trained to spot hail damage that insurance adjusters may miss, and we have decades of experience on thousands of roofs, so if you aren’t getting the answers you need from your insurance company, give us a call and put our expertise to work for you.
